Tickets on sale this August.

Directed by Nigel Short, Tenebrae is one of the world's leading vocal ensembles, prized for the combination of cathedral-scale intensity and chamber-choir precision. Its repertoire ranges from Renaissance masterworks to contemporary choral music, with regular appearances at major international festivals and venues including the BBC Proms, Wigmore Hall, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Rheingau Musik Festival, and Sydney Festival. Tenebrae's performances are famous for their theatrical focus and ravishing control: the kind of singing that can make a single chord feel like architecture.

About the Artists

Tenebrae's recording catalogue spans Signum, LSO Live, Warner Classics, and other labels, and the ensemble has received three BBC Music Magazine Choral Awards, a BBC Music Magazine Recording of the Year Award, an Edison Classical Music Award, an Opus Klassik Award, a German Critics' Award, and a Grammy nomination. Founded by former King's Singer Nigel Short, the choir has built its reputation on precision, atmosphere, and an unusually vivid approach to text. Its work includes landmark recordings and collaborations with leading orchestras and festivals. In addition to its concert and recording work, Tenebrae maintains an active Learning & Connection programme serving children, young people, and amateur singers.
